“Don’t Get Burned this Summer by the New Overtime Rule”

Zack Bombatch

Bombatch Law LLC

Time: 8:00 AM
Location: Navarro’s Bar & Grill—105 Springfield Commons Blvd., Mercer
Cost: $20 for Grove City Chamber Members, $25 Otherwise

Presentation Highlights:
Join us for a timely discussion on the new overtime rule set to go into effect on July 1. Under this new rule, fewer
employees will be exempt from the overtime pay requirements set by the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
One rule under the FLSA is that employees must be paid overtime for all hours that are worked above 40 in a
workweek unless the employees are exempt from the rule. There are several exemptions to the overtime pay rule. Each exemption has specific elements but they all require exempt employees to be paid on a salary basis at
a set amount. The new rule changes the amount of salary paid for the exemptions to apply.
Attorney Zack Bombatch will provide insightful analysis and practical advice to help you navigate the new changes to overtime exemptions and best practices for adhering to the new rule’s requirements. Topics to be discussed include: an overview of the overtime exemption process, the new rule’s changes to salary levels, best practices for
timekeeping and payroll, and real world case examples. Don’t miss this opportunity to gain valuable knowledge.
