Post: Grove City’s bicentennial was celebrated in 1998. Wooden nickels were celebratory tokens thrown during the parade.
Answer: FACT! Special wooden nickels with the bicentennial logo printed on them were thrown during the celebratory parade. In fact, the Chamber still has a tote bag full of them! If you would like to have one of these bicentennial wooden nickels, just contact our office!
