Every Thursday we offer a way to give back in the community. For this week’s Give Back Thursday, we offer the Bag Challenge! Wondering what we are talking about? Read on for more details!
Giving back in the community is important for everyone. It offers a sense of pride in where you live, and a way to feel like you are a part of the community. When was the last time you did something to benefit the community? Sometimes we can feel like we might not have enough to financially assist or make a difference. However, giving back does not always have a financial tag attached to it.
When you are out and about walking or driving in the community, have you noticed litter and garbage? This can pile up, especially after a long winter. It is a shame that people litter or do not properly dispose of their garbage. It makes the entire community look bad. With little effort, we can all do our part to “clean up” this problem!
For this week’s Give Back Thursday, we offer the Bag Challenge. We challenge everyone to grab a bag and take a walk. Pick up any garbage or litter that you come across. Put it into your bag. See if you can fill your bag! Do this multiple times and see if you can fill multiple bags! Help our community by helping to pick up and properly dispose of garbage that is littering our streets, sidewalks and parking lots. If we all pitch in and help, it can be a small project that is easily accomplished instead of growing into a big problem. Are you willing to take the Bag Challenge?
