Give Back Thursday: Donate Blankets and Socks
Chamber- Give Back Thursday

On Thursdays we offer suggestions for giving back in the community. This week’s Give Back Thursday suggestion is to donate blankets and socks. Read on for more details!

When you are cold, a great way to warm up is to cover up with a blanket. Another way to get warm is with socks because cold feet can make the entire body cold. We often take things like blankets and socks for granted, but those without them know exactly how appreciated they should be.

As we move into the colder months, we should remember those in need who might not have access to warm blankets and socks. Something as simple as a blanket or pair of socks can make all the difference when you are struggling to find warmth. If shelter or heat is not readily available, a shivering body can find comfort in being covered.

VFW Post 519 has a bin outside the main entrance of their location at 220 Blair Street in Grove City. This bin has blankets and socks for those in need. Donations are appreciated and can be dropped off at the VFW. This is a great way to show support for the VFW Post 519 and their desire to help others. Are you able to assist with their collection and offering? We think this is a wonderful opportunity to do something kind and offer assistance during an especially terrible time for many.

Take a moment and think about how you might support this week’s Give Back Thursday suggestion to donate blankets and socks. Your donation could really help someone feel cared for.
