Give Back Thursday: Ring the Bells

Give Back Thursday: Ring the Bells
Chamber- Give Back Thursday

On Thursdays we offer ideas of ways people can give back in the community. This week’s Give Back Thursday suggestion is to Ring the Bells! Read on for all of the details.

The Salvation Army has long been associated with helping those in need. Everyone is familiar with the Red Kettle Campaign at the holidays where volunteers can be seen outside stores ringing the bells and collecting donations. What you may not realize, is how much the donations are needed, especially in a year like 2020.

The Grove City Salvation Army Service Unit is looking for volunteers to help ring the bells for the Red Kettle Campaign. If you can ring a bell, you can be of great help! The Salvation Army will have the kettles set up at Walmart and County Market on Fridays and Saturdays from November 20th through December 19th. Volunteers are needed to ring the bells to draw attention to the Red Kettle Campaign and the donations being accepted. It should be noted that hand sanitizer and wipes will be provided.

This is a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community and help those in need. This year has been difficult for many, and the red kettle donations will be especially needed. If you are interested in volunteering with the Red Kettle Campaign, call 724-372-1381. Thank you for considering this week’s Give Back Thursday suggestion to Ring the Bells!
