Every Thursday we suggest a way that people can give back in the community. This week’s idea might not seem like a new concept, but it might be a challenge to make a concerted effort. For this week’s Give Back Thursday, we suggest you say something kind. Read on for more details.
Most children are taught it is important to be kind to one another. We try to instill this practice in our youth and encourage it for the remainder of life. Although, sometimes it can be hard to be kind to others if they have hurt us or those we care about. But, it is important to try kindness first and set a good example for others.
In our ever changing world, it is more important than ever to spread kindness. If each person tries to be kinder to those around them, the impact could be big. We often take for granted those around us in our every day lives. Could someone you see often use an extra word of kindness? Could a stranger that you have a limited interaction with still benefit from you saying something kind to them? Our guess, is yes!
For this week’s Give Back Thursday suggestion, we encourage everyone to make an effort to say something kind. We challenge everyone to take this a step further to say at least one kind thing to someone each day! You could say them to different people or some of the same people if you see them daily. The point is to say kind things to others. We never know what someone else might be going through and how much a kind word may change their day. Wouldn’t it be nice to know that you made someone else’s day better just by saying something kind?
