Please provide a short description of your business and what you do.
Fish Window Cleaning of Butler, PA, provides window cleaning and gutter cleaning for both commercial and residential customers located throughout Butler County and beyond.
Our service area includes: Beaver, Butler, Cabot, Chicora, Cranberry Township, Evans City, Franklin, Freeport, Grove City, Harmony, Kittanning, New Castle, Mercer, Monaca, Portersville, Prospect, Sarver, Saxonburg, Slippery Rock, Valencia, Worthington, and Zelienople
What’s the story behind your business?
Karen was contacted in 2014 by a franchise consultant while working in “corporate America” for 25 years. Karen decided to change careers and take on the challenge of starting-up a small business. While considering 4 franchise concepts, Karen and Al decided Fish Window Cleaning was the best fit. Karen and Al loved having their own home’s windows cleaned quarterly and felt others may also desire regular window cleaning services.
What is a best / top selling / favorite product or service you provide?
Our best and core service, of course, is window cleaning. We service customers on a regular schedule that meets their needs so we can maintain the “sparkle”. We often delight customers with another service – soft washing siding. The results are typically awesome.
When is your busiest time / season?
From March until December, we are busy. In January and February, we have time to catch our breath but we clean all year long. Businesses especially need their windows maintained no matter the time of year.
What is something people would be surprised to know about your business?
If a customer is not happy with our service, we will send the cleaner back to remedy the situation. We are not always perfect; everyone makes mistakes and we appreciate the opportunity to fix it.
Can you tell us about a memorable or favorite customer experience?
Every year, we clean the windows at a retirement residence in East Brady. The first year we were in business, it took 4 cleaners, 2 days to complete the job. We have learned a lot since then. It now takes 6 cleaners about 6 hours to complete the job.
How is your business responding to COVID-19?
COVID-19 can live on glass for several days. Our cleaning techniques can break down and remove viruses like COVID-19. All businesses should prioritize clean windows for the safety of both their customers and employees.
