Every Wednesday we offer an idea of something to do locally. These ideas always support one of our Chamber Members. This week’s What To Do Wednesday suggestion is Lengel Brothers Farm & Farm to Table. Read on for more details.
There is nothing quite like fresh produce and vegetables. The flavors are unmatched. Whether skilled in the kitchen or not, most people can appreciate the quality that fresh fruits and vegetables bring to the table. Different seasons bring different fresh produce and vegetables. What is your favorite season to purchase fresh?
For this week’s What To Do Wednesday, we suggest Lengel Brothers Farm & Farm to Table.
Did you know that brothers David and Elliott Lengel operate Lengel Brothers Farm? This farm has been in operation since 1941 and they pride themselves with farm fresh goods. Did you know they welcome anyone to come visit the farm? Here are some quotes directly from them, “We welcome all to visit the farm to view our fields of growing crops.” “Know your Farmer. Know your food source and enjoy a Farm to Table meal. We’re ready to provide you the best local farm to table produce in the area. From your table to your cupboard we will provide the vegetables, fruits, honey and other products to make a farm to table meal.”
Our suggestion this week is to schedule a visit to Lengel Brothers Farm. Conveniently located at 1346 Mercer-Grove City Road, Mercer, PA 16137, the farm is open 7 days a week from 10 AM – 7 PM (Spring – Thanksgiving). Call 724-967-1789 to schedule a visit to the farm. Learn more about the operations of this local farm, appreciate the hard work that goes into what they do, and get to know where your food comes from by getting to know your Farmer. But, before you leave be sure to purchase some local vegetables, fruits, honey and other products to make your own farm to table meal. You will be supporting local farmers while also wowing your family, friends and/or just your own taste buds!
Don’t delay, schedule a visit today before its too late!
