On Thursdays we offer a way to give back in the community. For this week’s Give Back Thursday we suggest Fall Foliage Removal. Read on for more details.
Western Pennsylvania can be a beautiful place to live in the Fall. We have trees that look like they have been painted by an artist. Leaves of yellow, red and orange replace the formerly green trees. However, these leaves begin to fall from the trees. What looked like an artist’s canvas can now just look like a lot of work! While most people can spend a few hours cleaning up their leaves, this task can be overwhelming for others. Elderly homeowners might not be able to keep their leaves cleaned up. Others who work a lot of hours may struggle to find extra time to spend on leaf removal. Leaves piling up and not being removed can make neighborhoods and the entire community look less welcoming.
For this week’s Give Back Thursday, we suggest Fall Foliage Removal.
Grab a rake, mower, and/or leaf blower and help someone with leaf removal. Do you know an elderly family member or neighbor who would appreciate your help? Perhaps you know someone working a lot of hours. Or, a single parent dealing with a hectic schedule. Your offer to assist could mean the world to this person. Whether you do the whole project for them or just assist them, you will make a big difference. A project that may have felt daunting can now feel manageable. You will feel good about helping someone else and they will appreciate your efforts.
We hope everyone acts on this week’s Give Back Thursday suggestion of Fall Foliage Removal. A little time spent helping someone else is priceless. You will not regret this act of kindness. You may even inspire others to do similar kind acts for people. That would be an amazing thing to spread!
