On Wednesdays we like to make a suggestion of things to do locally. These usually involve supporting one of our Chamber Members. For this week’s What To Do Wednesday, we suggest Hopefield’s Hunt Through Olde Town. Read on for more details.
Do you like a good mystery? How about following clues to solve a puzzle or riddle? Are your answers ‘yes’ and ‘yes’? We assume so! With this week’s suggestion we are encouraging everyone to embody Nancy Drew or Sherlock Holmes (or your favorite sleuth) and grab a team of 2-4 people (or your own Hardy Boys) to have some fun!
For this week’s What To Do Wednesday we suggest Hopefield’s Hunt Through Olde Town!
Here is some more info to help you solve the mystery of what to do this weekend: On Saturday, November 13th, Grove City College Project Partners and Hopefield Children’s Complex are hosting a community-based fundraiser called Hopefield’s Hunt Through Olde Town. Hopefield Children’s Complex is a non-profit organization with programs and services for children who have special needs or disabilities in Butler, Mercer and Venango Counties. Hopefield’s mission is to enrich the lives of children with special needs, and their families, through innovative programs that promote inclusion, raise awareness, and encourage community involvement.
Hopefield’s Hunt Through Olde Town will provide an opportunity for participants to scour through Olde Town in search of clues to solve a riddle. The first team to successfully solve the riddle will win a great prize – first prize is $100 cash! A Chinese Auction will also be held throughout the morning of the event at the Gazebo in the Joseph Monteleone Youth Festival Park on Broad Street. The goal of this event is to raise money for Hopefield as well as to spotlight the local businesses of Grove City.
Have questions about the event or Hopefield Children’s Complex? You can contact Gail Donaldson, President and Founder at info@hopefieldchildrenscomplex.org or at 814-758-9201. You can find more information about Hopefield on their website: www.hopefieldchildrenscomplex.org or on their Facebook page.
We hope everyone takes advantage of this week’s What To Do Wednesday suggestion of Hopefield’s Hunt Through Olde Town! This will be a fun event that promotes a good cause and our downtown community.
