On Wednesdays we give suggestions of things to do in the area. This week’s What To Do Wednesday suggestion is A Nature Walk & Swans! Read on for more details!
The past year has left many feeling stir-crazy and tired of being indoors. With cold and often icy weather, this past winter did not offer the opportunity to frequently get outdoors. However, Spring has finally arrived! Off to a lovely start, we have been enjoying nicer temperatures and sunny days. These make for the perfect recipe to get outdoors! Plan an adventure with nature. Get outside and soak in the sun. Rain may happen, but take advantage of sunny days.
A great way to spend time outdoors is by taking a nature walk. Grove City is home to multiple trails, sidewalks and safe areas to walk. We have Memorial Park, Hunter’s Farm, downtown Grove City, Grove City Premium Outlets and safe neighborhoods that lend themselves to walking. With so many options available, you might just be tempted to take multiple walks! Get out and get moving! Whether you walk a short distance or a long distance, walk fast or just stroll, the important thing is to get outside and get moving. Grab a family member, friend or neighbor and go for a walk.
Did you know?
A pair of swans have recently been spotted enjoying the beauty and peacefulness of Wolf Creek! For about a week, they have been spotted together near Grove City College’s Rainbow Bridge. The nature trails located nearby offer the perfect spot to see the swans as they are often floating very close by. Please be careful not to disturb the swans. We ask that anyone going to see them observes from a respectful distance. We hope that the swans will stay in this spot and continue to grace our community with their beauty. There is nothing quite as elegant as swans.
For this week’s What To Do Wednesday, we suggest A Nature Walk & Swans. With multiple outdoor options for a walk, we hope you will find one that works for you. Plan to take advantage of the visiting swans and take a walk to see them! The nature trails along Wolf Creek by Rainbow Bridge can be your destination, or a part of a larger walk. You may even find yourself taking nature photos!
For extra enjoyment!
To close out your What To Do Wednesday: A Nature Walk & Swans, we suggest getting a treat. Plan to stop by a local business after your walk and get a treat. Whether it is a coffee at beans on broad or Dunkin’ Donuts, or a milkshake at McDonald’s or something to eat at one of our wonderful restaurants, you have lots of options available.
