On Wednesdays, we share ideas of things you can do in the area. These ideas combine something to do with a way to support one of our local businesses. For this week’s What To Do Wednesday, we suggest Hot Cocoa & Christmas Lights! Read on for more details.
Hot cocoa is the warm drink of choice to quell the bitter cold of winter. The rich chocolate flavor and the creamy texture make for a winning combination. But, have you ever made hot cocoa using a Hot Cocoa Bomb? This is something fun everyone should try! Go to Allie’s Sweet Tooth located at 113 A N Broad Street, Grove City, PA to pick yours up during business hours, Tuesday – Saturday, 9 AM – 3 PM. Allie highly recommends you preorder yours to make sure she doesn’t sell out! Check out her Hot Cocoa Bombs at https://allies-sweet-tooth.myshopify.com/products/copy-of-christmas-hot-cocoa-bombs
Never heard of a Hot Cocoa Bomb? Here is a description from Allie’s Sweet Tooth:
“What is a Hot Cocoa Bomb!? It is a thick shell of high quality chocolate formed into a sphere. We fill the inside of that 3” diameter sphere with ghirardelli hot cocoa mix varieties (based on flavor requested) along with marshmallows and fillers! All custom to what you order. Once you have your Bombs, you place them in your favorite mug and you pour 8 ounces of hot milk, (carefully and with an adult of course!) over your Bomb and watch the magic happen! Once your Bomb opens you stir and enjoy! High quality hot cocoa at home!”
The second part of our plan is to go to Christmas at the Park in Grove City’s Memorial Park and enjoy the lighted displays from our area businesses, organizations and community members. The Grove City Area Chamber of Commerce is very proud to have created Christmas in the Park and successfully grown it over the past 13 years. It truly captures the holidays and brings that feel-good Christmas spirit alive as you drive along looking at displays lovingly created by our community. You can’t help but smile and the kids can’t help but squeal with delight! Santa even plans to appear every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 3-8 PM (until Christmas) to wave to all of the kids. Will you see him?
To fully enjoy this week’s What To Do Wednesday suggestion of Hot Cocoa & Christmas Lights, you need to enjoy these things together! Make your hot cocoa using Hot Cocoa Bombs from Allie’s Sweet Tooth. You can either enjoy your hot cocoa during or after your Christmas in the Park adventure. Either way, you will fill warmed up with Christmas spirt! Be sure to take photos and share them on social media and tag @GCChamberPA so we can enjoy them too!
Christmas in the Park is FREE to drive through. Displays are lit nightly from Thanksgiving weekend through January 2nd, from 5-11 PM.
