Each and every Wednesday we offer suggestions of things you can do in the area. These may be free-of-charge to do, or there may be a small cost involved. Either way, our suggestions will give you great ideas you can use to answer the age old question, “what do you want to do today” any time you are asked! For this week’s What To Do Wednesday we suggest A Zip-Line Adventure!
Many people might say they like to keep their feet planted solidly on the ground. Others might say they would love the opportunity to fly through the air. You may find yourself leaning more toward one of these answers over the other, or you may find yourself somewhere in between. Either way, we hope you can appreciate how exciting it is that our community has zip-line courses for people to enjoy!
Keystone Safari has TWO zip-line adventure courses. One is for adults and the other is ideal for small children. Please note that general park admission must be purchased to access the zip-line course in addition to the zip-line admission rate. For more information on rates, please click here https://www.keystonesafari.com/park-information.
Beginner’s Course
The Beginner’s Course includes two zones that get more challenging the further you go. It is made up of 2 zip-lines and 19 obstacle challenges ranging in height up to 8-ft. in the trees! The zip-line lengths range from 65-74 ft! There are a few requirements for the Beginner’s Course. It is for ages 5+, there is a 275 pound weight limit, and you must wear closed toe shoes. The website advises that you allow one hour to complete the Beginner’s Course which does include safety training.
Moderate Course
The Moderate Course includes three zones that get more challenging as you proceed. It is made up of 7 zip-lines, 25 obstacle challenges ranging in height up to 30-ft. high in the trees! The zip-line lengths range from 75-212 ft! That sounds exciting! Another exciting feature is that you just might see some species of animals while you are on your adventure! How cool is that? There are a few requirements for the Moderate Course. You must be more than 80 pounds to go on this course, but there is a 275 pound weight limit. You must wear closed to shoes. The website does advise to allow two hours to complete the Moderate Course which does include safety training.
This is an adventure you could do solo, with friends, or the whole family could enjoy! Not many zip-lines offer the adventure this one does, with animals to spot from above! Take advantage of this local adventure that we are lucky to have in our own backyard!
