Welcome to another Watch Wednesday, where we offer suggestions of things to watch or view that you might not know about. Today’s suggestion is one that is too adorable to pass up! With a few clicks, you can watch giant pandas at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo via their Panda Cams!
You can watch giant pandas Tian Tian and Mei Xiang and see just how a panda spends their day. Please note that there is Panda Cam 1 and Panda Cam 2 and you can toggle back and forth between the two to make sure you don’t miss any panda activity. From napping, to sitting and eating bamboo, these pandas will bring a smile to your face and you may even feel the stress of the day melt away! Please Note: All Smithsonian museums, including the National Zoo, continue to be closed to support the effort to contain the spread of COVID-19. Animal keepers and veterinary staff remain working on-site at the Zoo and at the Conservation Biology Institute in Front Royal, Virginia, to provide the usual highest quality care for the animals. The animal webcams remain online, but volunteers will not be operating them, so animals may not be visible at all times.
While you visit the pandas virtually, you may consider donating toward the National Zoo’s COVID-19 Emergency Fund or exploring their other animal cams. In the future, consider visiting this zoo if you are in the Washington D.C. area and see the pandas up close!
