Every Wednesday we offer a suggestion of something to do in the community. This week’s suggestion is something special to recognize our Veterans on Veterans Day. For What To Do Wednesday, we suggest Ace fix-it Hardware, Flags & Veterans. Read on for more details!
Veterans hold a special place in our hearts. They served our Country and defended our freedoms. Veterans Day is a special day that is set aside to recognize our Veterans who are living, or deceased, and their service to the United State of America. Every person knows or has known at least one Veteran, most have been honored to know many. Perhaps they shared stories with you from their time of service, or perhaps they preferred not to talk about those times. Either way, we have all felt a sense of pride when speaking with a Veteran.
Part One of Today’s Plan
For this week’s What To Do Wednesday, we want everyone to recognize the Veterans in their lives and in our community! On this special day, take a few moments and let a Veteran know they are remembered. For the first part of this plan, go to Ace fix-it Hardware in Grove City. There you will find mini American flags for sale. Purchase one for every Veteran you want to recognize, living and deceased. These flags will cost you less than $3 each, but can have a significant impact.
Part Two of Today’s Plan
Next, place a mini American flag in the yard of every Veteran you know. You can also place one at the grave of every Veteran you have known that has passed away. Veterans Day is a time to recognize service of our Veterans both living and deceased. By placing the mini American flags, you are doing something small to recognize the strength, bravery and selflessness that define our Veterans and their service to our Country.
