What To Do Wednesday: Cleaning and Relaxing
Chamber- What To Do Wednesday

This week, for What To Do Wednesday, we suggest cleaning and relaxing. Right away, that might not sound like a fun idea and you might be wondering how this made it on to our What To Do Wednesday suggestion list. If you read on, you will find that you won’t be doing the cleaning, but you will be doing the relaxing!

We have all heard of Spring cleaning. The idea of cleaning everything from top to bottom when Spring arrives, so that everything is clean and ready to go for Summer and the months that follow. Spring cleaning can involve everything from washing windows, to washing walls, and getting much more involved than your routine cleaning. This can be a big project that leaves you dreading the arrival of Spring, and being too tired to enjoy Summer. This year, with the pandemic and stay at home orders, you may not have felt like doing any Spring Cleaning. Don’t worry, it isn’t too late! In fact, here comes our What To Do Wednesday suggestion, cleaning and relaxing!

Our Chamber has nearly 300 members that make up the commerce community. We have a range of different types of businesses and organizations. For this week’s What To Do Wednesday, we suggest you support a small business by hiring them to do your cleaning! Imagine, you can hire a local company to come in and do many, if not all, of your cleaning projects. Then, you will have the energy to relax and enjoy the Summer days, evenings, and weekends, because your To Do List turned into a To Done List!

Did you know, that one of our Chamber Members, Fish Window Cleaning, will come and clean all of your windows? They are also willing to do gutter clean out, soft wash vinyl siding, and other special cleaning projects like chandeliers, skylights, and mirror cleaning! They can do both residential and commercial projects. For more information, give Karen and Al a call at 724-283-3474. You can also check them out on social media and visit their website at http://www.fishwindowcleaning.com/3117.

For all of your normal cleaning needs, both residential and commercial, we have another Chamber Member, Commercial Cleaning, that is happy to be of service to you. Whether you want to have them do one big cleaning that gets you “caught up” and ready to go, or you want to hire them to routinely do your cleaning, they are ready to assist. For more information, give Brian a call at 724-977-8322.

If you have a bigger cleanup project that is the result of damage from something like fire, water, storms and/or mold, then we also have Chamber Members who can assist you with that! They can get you back to where you need to be after disaster strikes. They also do deep cleaning and sanitizing to get your office or business ready to go following the recent shutdown orders related to the pandemic. Or, perhaps your project is something like carpet and upholstery cleaning, air duct cleaning, odor removal, or sewage and biohazard cleanup – they’ve got you covered there too! You can call Andrew at SERVPRO of Mercer County at 724-704-8939 or you can visit their website at https://www.servpromercercounty.com/. Or, you can contact Ross at DRS of Erie County at 814-833-2000 or you can visit their website at http://www.drsoferie.com.

Now, comes the time for relaxation! After you have figured out your cleaning projects, made your To Do List, and contacted our fabulous Chamber Members to get quotes and make appointments for service, it is time for you to relax and enjoy all the extra time you will have by not doing the cleaning yourself! What will you do with all of your extra free time? The choice is yours, but we’ve got plenty more ideas and lots more Chamber Members that you can support! Check out our Membership Directory at https://grovecityareachamber.com/member-directory/ where you can search by name or category. Also, you can just keep checking back each week for more What to do Wednesday ideas!
