If you are looking for something fun to do this weekend, we have your perfect answer! Who doesn’t love dinner and a movie? This is a great way to spend an evening. Even better is when this dinner and a movie are part of a special event.
For this week’s What To Do Wednesday, we suggest Dinner & A Movie! The Grove City Chamber is hosting A Totally 80s Night, Dinner & A Movie At The Barn this Saturday, August 14th. At 7:30 PM, join us at Fair Haven Farms (206 Lee Road, Grove City, PA) for a bonfire and dinner. Dinner will be packaged meals made up of items from local food providers. Every paid attendee will be provided with one packaged meal. However, buying pre-sale tickets before the event can save you money and help us with planning! There will also be s’mores kits sold before the movie to enjoy during the bonfire time.
Packaged meals to contain (subject to change):
- Pulled Pork Sandwich from Blackout Burger Bar
- Baked Beans from County Market’s Cafe
- Nachos from Independent Taco
- Something Sweet from Shannon’s Kandy Kitchen
- Baklava from Bakluva
- Munchkins from Dunkin’
- Sealed plastic cutlery from Fox’s Pizza Den
At dusk, the movie Footloose (1984) will be played barn-side! Imagine seeing Kevin Bacon dancing on the side of a large white barn! It will be larger than life! This movie contains epic dancing, great music and a good message. Plus, you can’t help but think about the 1980s. For extra fun, attendees can wear their totally rad 80s threads for a chance to win prizes! Popcorn and beverages will be sold throughout the evening.
We hope you will take advantage of this week’s What To Do Wednesday suggestion of Dinner & A Movie! Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy Footloose outdoors under the stars. For planning purposes, the event will be limited to 200 people. Pre-sale tickets are currently being sold at https://gcchamberpa.eventsmart.com/events/ and are $12 for ages 13+, $6 for ages 3-12. Tickets sold at the event will be $15 for ages 13+, $7 for ages 3-12. Save money and get your tickets early! This will also ensure you can attend and receive a packaged meal.
