For this week’s Watch Wednesday, we suggest helping the Grove City High School (GCHS) Class of 2020 celebrate their graduation! The past few months have been a difficult time for all of us, as we navigate the COVID-19 pandemic and stay-at-home orders that were in place. It caused the reality of our day-to-day lives to change in ways we couldn’t have predicted. That is true for this week’s Watch Wednesday focus, the GCHS Class of 2020.
When they started the school year, none could have predicted how their school year would end. All students had to move to virtual learning and miss out on the normal activities that fall within the second half of a school year. However, this had the biggest impact on the seniors. Their final sporting events, play/musical, concerts, and prom all had to be put on hold. We can all remember our senior year and how the passing of each event put us closer to the final milestone, our graduation. While the Class of 2020 was able to celebrate with a virtual graduation and plans are in place for an in-person celebration, the fact remains that this was a very different senior year experience for each of these seniors.
For this week’s Watch Wednesday suggestion, we offer the idea of helping the GCHS Class of 2020 celebrate by enjoying their virtual graduation and other special moments.

While their senior year wasn’t as they expected it to be, we are glad that these special moments are available in video for all of us to enjoy and celebrate with them. Their accomplishments are numerous already, and we feel certain that they will accomplish even more things in the future! To each member of the Class of 2020, we applaud you and congratulate you on your graduation!
If you personally know a member of the Grove City High School Class of 2020, or someone from another school district, be sure and take a moment to personally congratulate them and make them feel celebrated. A small act like sending a personal note, making a poster or sign and displaying it in their honor, can go a long way toward making their senior year as special as it certainly deserves to be!
