The Grove City Area Chamber of Commerce sponsors a Leadership Grove City program biannually for individuals who live and/or work in the Grove City area.
The mission of Leadership Grove City is to prepare individuals to be better leaders in their community. It aims to increase knowledge of local businesses, civic networking and awareness. The program begins in September of the participating year and runs over a course of seven sessions which conclude in December. The graduates are then recognized at the Chamber Annual Dinner in January.
Leadership Grove City is an opportunity for those new to leadership positions, or those striving to advance in the leadership field, to learn the who-what-where-when and why of serving on local boards or in public office. Participants also choose a community project to research and plan through the implementation process. Past Leadership Grove City Community Projects have included Grove City Community Garden, Food for Kids Backpack Program and Beautify Grove City.
