On Wednesdays we offer ideas of things to do in the area. This week’s What To Do Wednesday suggestion is Walking & A Zoo! Read on for all of the fun details!
Did you know that today, April 7th, is National Walking Day? Did you know that tomorrow, April 8th, is National Zoo Lovers Day? We think these two days should be celebrated together! What better way to celebrate National Walking Day than to walk around at a zoo? The best place to celebrate National Zoo Lovers Day is at a zoo, so why not go to our very own local zoo?
We’ve Got A Zoo!
The Grove City area is very lucky to call itself home to Keystone Safari. Not every community can say they have a zoo in their community. But we do! Keystone Safari is beautifully laid out with a walk-thru zoo area, as well as a drive-thru safari area. The animals are very well cared for and seem to really enjoy seeing visitors. Visitors pay a nominal admission fee for either area they select to visit. In the walk-thru zoo area, you will see lions, bears, hyenas, giraffes, birds and so much more! You can hand feed some of the animals, like the giraffes. This is a picture perfect opportunity to get up close and personal with a beautiful living animal….what a treat!
For this week’s What To Do Wednesday, we suggest Walking & A Zoo! To celebrate both National Walking Day & National Zoo Lovers Day, with both occurring this week, we suggest combining the two. Put your walking shoes on and head to Keystone Safari. Once you have paid admission and get inside the walk-thru portion, you can walk around and do as many laps as you want. You can see all of the different animals and take in their beauty while getting your steps in! It really is a win-win! We hope everyone will be wild about this week’s What To Do Wednesday plan!
