On Thursdays, we focus on ways to give back in the community. For this week’s Give Back Thursday, we suggest Nonprofits at Strawberry Days! Read on for more details.
Supporting our local nonprofits is a theme we have encouraged with our weekly social media posts on Thursdays for more than a year. Our nonprofits are an important part of our community. They always need community support. This week, we have an especially fun and delicious way to support these nonprofits!
For this week’s Give Back Thursday, we suggest Nonprofits at Strawberry Days!
Our community is gearing up for our annual Strawberry Days, a festival organized by the Community Events Committee of the Borough of Grove City. This year, the festival will be June 11th – 13th at Memorial Park. While enjoying crafters, artisans and live music, you can also enjoy festival food! Local nonprofits provide all of the festival food we crave. This is a great opportunity to enjoy good food while also supporting local nonprofits. Your purchase of the food and drinks they are selling is actually supporting fundraising efforts for each of these nonprofits. Whether it is a sausage sandwich from the Grove City Knights of Columbus, or Strawberry Shortcake from the GC Grace UM Church Youth, you are supporting an organization in the community. Come hungry and plan to eat lots…your support makes a difference!
We hope everyone takes advantage of this week’s Give Back Thursday suggestion of Nonprofits at Strawberry Days! You have to eat, so you might as well do so while benefiting a nonprofit in the community! There is plenty of fun to be had on Friday and Saturday from 10 AM – 9 PM and Sunday from 11 AM – 4 PM. Get out and enjoy yourself!
