Please provide a short description of your business and what you do.
We are an independent insurance agency located in Harrisville. We work with multiple insurance carriers to provide auto, home, business, life, and health insurance as well as Medicare.
What is the story behind your business or how it got started?
Turner Insurance Agency, Inc. was established in 1954 by the late W. Richard Turner. After his death in 1974, his wife Betty and son Gary assumed management of the agency. In 1982, Gary Turner purchased the agency. Gary’s daughters, Abbie Turner Michael and Cara Turner Hasting joined the agency full time upon completion of their Business Management degrees from Grove City College in 2003 and 2015 respectively. In 2018, Abbie and Cara purchased the agency from their parents, making it a third generation family owned and operated agency.
What is the service that you provide that customers use the most?
Everyone needs auto insurance! But we can also help with all areas of insurance such as home, business, life, health, and Medicare.
When is your busiest time / season?
Year round! Any time of year is a great time to call us for a quote or to review your insurance coverage.
What is something people would be surprised to know about your business?
We are a third generation family owned business. We might be the third generation, but we are just as committed to providing you with superior service.
How has COVID-19 affected your business?
We have continued to be open Monday-Friday, though by working remotely for a while. We returned to our regular hours in the office on June 1st. While it has been challenging for our business just like many other small businesses, we are truly thankful for the ability to remain open while we worked from home. We are so grateful for the grace extended to us by our clients as we learned to operate in this new normal.
