Please provide a short description of your business and what you do.
image FX inc. is a commercial printing company that offers a wide variety of products and services. From a simple logo design or business cards to vehicle wraps and large format banners image FX has solutions for all types of businesses.
What is the story behind your business or how it got started?
After working in the corporate world and being downsized, I made the decision to try something on my own. I have always been artistic so I started out by designing and selling T-shirts out of a minivan at local events and eventually landed an office on Broad Street. Although my original plans did not include becoming a paper printer, I followed my customers request and began providing print services and evolved into large format printing. Now, a once empty room on Broad Street is filled to capacity with printers and hi-tech gadgets that produce many of the signs and banners seen around town.
What is the service that you provide that customers use the most?
Event promotions and startup business packages are the most popular services we offer.
When is your busiest time / season?
Spring and fall are the busiest seasons but it stays pretty steady year round.
What is something people would be surprised to know about your business?
I’ve had the opportunity, through the wide variety of clients, to travel and work internationally. I’ve even gone to Santiago, Chile to help produce their Paris Parade (the equivalent of the Macy’s Day Parade for South America).
Can you tell us about a memorable or favorite customer experience?
My most memorable customer experience would be the reaction of a Vietnam Veteran after designing a custom wrap for a memorial trailer. I’ve done extensive work with military organizations and Veterans and their reactions make it all worthwhile.
How has COVID-19 affected your business?
COVID-19 has had a substantial impact on business. Business went from 90% capacity to 15% overnight. Things are back on the right track now and the experience even expanded our product offering. We now offer a wide line of floor decals and temporary removable window decals all customized with your logos and message.
How can the community support you now and going forward?
The best way for the community to support image FX going forward would be to SHOP LOCAL and buy your things from neighbors not the internet or a big box store. The only way image FX can survive is to to keep serving our local businesses. If those businesses around us are succeeding, image FX inc. will be successful.
